WaaaaaahhhhhhhhhHHHHH

Last night, I got my taste of what it was like to be the parents of a newborn. All I can say is that I'm glad it's them and not me. Every couple of hours it was WAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! And people ask me why I don't desire to have any children. My brother and sister-in-law takes turns dumping my niece in my arms and I threaten her with, "If you're not going to be human, then I'm handing you back." She looks up and me as if she fully understands what I just said and miraculously she's quiet.

I'm driving my nephew to school for the next couple of mornings so I'm staying at my brother's place, as my brother and sister-in-law have to travel to China for work. Is this Aunty tops or what!? That should be TOPS with capital letters. Thank goodness it's only for two nights. I don't think I can handle anymore.

For obvious reasons, this afternoon I'm buying earplugs/earmuffs. I'm going to leave them with my nephew cause the poor kid is sleeping on a mattress on the floor and whenever his sister cries he covers his ears with his hands. Funnily enough, the wailing was less annoying then these group of early risers (old people who probably go to bed at 7pm) who seem to be having a conference at the bottom of the street at 5 o'clock in the morning when they are going for their walk. My nephew's bedroom window is opposite the street and I can hear their conversation as clear as a bell bitching about their relatives. They should erect a NO TALKING sign between the hours of 5am-8am.

I need more coffee.
