I have taken aboard the advice and bought a copy of The Golden Compass before I left for Madrid. So far so good. Although, I've only been reading before bed it's getting to the point where I don't want to put it down and keep on reading until the sun comes up. There has been a lot of talk about daemons and I wondered what kind of deamon I might have. I googled and lo and behold The Golden Compass (one of the most exquisite websites ever dreamt up) website has a deamon matching questionnaire.
I have a gibbon deamon named Eamon.

That really is a gorgeous website. I have high hopes for the movie. Of course, being the only grown man in the theatre might be a bit embarrassing. Jadd
I somehow got a Lion, i don't think thats right, so i must of cheated or something.
I had to stop myself from reading too much of the first book, doing a chapter a night, because i knew i couldn't afford the next one until later.
Started the subtle knife.
Cool photo of the birds nest!
Jadd: There will be plenty of adults who are young at heart. Perhaps you can 'gobble' a kid to take to the cinema?
Need to find an English copy of the Subtle knife while I'm in Scotland or else there will be trouble when I run out pages to read.
its a fairly adult book anyway, particularly the amount of animal violence.
