I made fresh pizza for lunch today. A potato and cheese pizza and a potato, salami, red onion and cheese pizza. I should have thought about ingredients yesterday when we went grocery shopping. The pizza flour was ingenious. You don't even have to add yeast yourself and it rose within 25 mins. I've saved a ball of dough for tonight's dinner. The salami looks like cherry tomatoes. I went to a huge Carrefour yesterday and they have two long fridges worth of cheese! I'm definitely living in the wrong part of the world. I got some havarti (a semi-soft cheese with small holes) slices.
I'm having a cook-off with my sister and my brother-in-law this weekend. We each will prepare a starter of our own signature dish. I'm going to prepare corn fritters but I may need an accompaniment to go with it. I think a salad with a nice dressing will go well. Need to look for a salad recipe. Found a great food blog from someone in Sydney.
