Astro Turf

As part of an art exhibit in Times Square, a piece of astro turf has been laid out and white pebble boulders have been placed smack bang in the middle of the mall. There were kids having a picnic on it! I propose that every office building lobby and every shopping mall be carpeted with astro turf.

After lunch at The Harvest Menu I walked down D'Aguilar St and found myself in the middle of a paparazzi frenzy. It was the grand opening of the new Coach store and the entire corner of the street was being blocked off. I didn't bring my camera but had my cybershot with me. Damn! Of all the days... There was lion dancing and journalist on step ladders. Best of all there were streamers and confetti. It was all very colourful. I think people should just throw random handfuls of bits of coloured paper and streamers into the air at least once a month to celebrate good health. It's pure happiness.

I wouldn't even know them even if I saw one. There were supposedly "important people" cutting the ribbon that I have photos of but I have no idea who they are so I didn't upload. So if I don't know them, they can't be that important!

I know! Hence, they need to astro turf malls for lack of grassy areas.
