Curly

A colleague of mine commented (translated from Cantonese) before she left to go home this evening: "Wow! You're working so hard even your hair has become curly!"
I told her that I had it permed (she's been away on maternity leave) but it must be curlier than usual.

The book I have been working on has finally been delivered to the printer after an incubation period of 12 months. That's a bloody long time for a book to be edited. It was abandoned for another book at some point and even took a holiday to Portugal during the summer. The end of year editing tally will be: 14 magazines; 3 quarterly journals; 1 academic journal; 2 complete books; 3 partial books and a partridge in a pear tree. No wonder I feel exhausted.
