The panda's black eye patches with matching black ears are their most outstanding features. I think it's what makes them look so endearing. They are just so colour co-ordinated. Humans should have different coloured ears.

It's yet another long weekend. This time we are celebrating China National Day on Oct 1. The mainlanders get the entire week off. One country, two systems for 50 years since 1997. In another 41 years, when there will be only one system we may get the entire week off.

If it had been something else like oil or property, I don't think anyone would have cared much.
