Congrats to the Sydney Swans who made it to the grand final for the second year in a row! Now we know the first time wasn't really fluke (not that I really think it was a fluke to begin with). Goodes winning his second Brownlow! What is the AFL world coming to? If the Swans win again do you know what this means? Another ticker tape parade but this time I will miss it. I still have some ticker tape in a box somewhere from last year. I grabbed a handful and shoved it in my pocket.

For the people who live in Sydney (and yes, that means you legal scholar - skip class if you have to) can you go to the the ticker tape parade and grab another handful for me? Pretty please. It's for the w-ko retirement fund courtesy of ebay. Yes, there are some freaks out there who will pay good money for shredded red and white paper. Actually, I have photos from last year's parade as well to pawn.

Does that mean I think Sydney will win? You betcha!

I didn't just jump on the bandwagon last year either. I remain a loyal Bombers fan but I have watched more Swannie games than Bombers games due to poor coverage of the Melbourne games that are aired in Sydney. You know how it is, one thing leads to another and you get to know the player's names, you read about them in the sports section and you start abusing the players when they miss a goal or pass etc... -it's a beautfiful developing relationship. As a consequence, Sydney is my second team by default.
