20/20

Babel
I missed the first six minutes of it because the bus was running late. Not sure why they cast Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett because the movie would have done just as well on it's own without the star power. Perhaps it may have even made more of an impact without their presence as all the other supporting roles are vitually unknowns who give stellar performances. The soundtrack will be worth checking out. Overall, it's not a waste of time or money. See it.

Cricket
I was on the phone with a friend and she said are you watching?! OH no! How could I forget? Let the one day internationals begin. I liked the idea of the live link up between the players on the field giving the commentary. As long as they don't employ the same technology for a live link up to The Lodge, I'm be a happy camper. Unfortunately, my summer of cricket has come to an end. Tomorrow evening I fly back to Hong Kong via Singapore (three hours in the middle of the night at Changi Airport and I'll probably blog from there) where little cricket will be watched and the job hunting process will begin again. Woohoo!

I really thought Babel was worth the watch...though, I too was a little confused by the casting of the stars...even though all the stories sort of were connected to them, they seemed no more the centre than anyone else, minus the fact that they Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett...the soundtrack is cool too, i reccommend it!
