stress ball

My stress ball (aka Pee Boy and Olly) went back to Madrid this morning. He use to sit and play on his play mat while I worked. The tune to his musical Winnie the Pooh book, "Funny sunny story book it's a funny sunny place to look" is still ringing in my head. When I took my work breaks I'll pick him up and go for walkies around the house, look at lights and out the window. *deepest Charlie Brown sigh* Nigel is is okay but I really need to get a pet I can walk and play with.
The house is all quiet again and very neat and tidy. Looking forward to the first episode of Ugly Betty airing tonight.

On the work front, I'm winning accolades across the globe (the working group is made up of people in Bangkok, Hong Kong, London and New York) after putting a list together on a spreadsheet. It was really nothing. All I did was create columns, rows, a few headings and cut and pasted. People seem to always get impressed when they see an excel spreadsheet. I really think I am undeserving of all the praise I'm getting. Perhaps it's to make up for the lack of praise from my previous job. Anyway, little do they know that I arrive to work in my pyjamas everyday.
