I know I've been really slack with my blog of late. Teaching has consumed my life of late and sitting in front of the computer and writing is the last thing I want to be doing after students have sucked the marrow of life out of me. Playing Scrabble on Facebook is something else. It's an addiction and as Oscar Wilde probably says that everyone should have an addiction of some sort to make their lives more interesting though probably not in these exact words.
I'm averaging about a bottle of Lucozade a week. Does it really give me "brain energy" like the bottle says it does? Anyway, I'm moving again on Thursday so expect me to disappear from the world wide web until I'm reconnected in the next week or so. To my fellow scrabblers, I'm not abandoning the game okay! So don't nudge or declare yourselves the winner.
Election
Do you realise that there are kids out there who are under 11 years of age, who have never experienced living under a different regime other than the reign of terror. I picked up ninjawookie from the airport on Saturday night and he was sporting a mo for movember, a Kevin 2007 t-shirt and his first words were "Who won?" We celebrated by buying krispy kreme donuts to take home for our father.
Teaching
Beginning December, I'll be working 10 hours a day from Mon-Thur and having long weekends Fri-Sun. I can live with this work schedule. Is this good or what? Or am I sadly disillusioned that it sounds good in theory, but in reality I don't really have a life?

Hooray!!! what a relief. Johnny even lost his own seat (99% certain). Costello has refused to be opposition leader. The bloodletting has begin. The highest liberal in office in Australia is now the Mayor of a municipality in Brisbane.
teaching - definitely sounds good to me (this excludes the number of hours you put towards preparation of classes and markings of papers). i work on an average 10.5 hours a day, 52.5 hrs a week, that's 12.5 hrs more than you.
scrabulous - still suffering from overdose, will get back soon and thks for the reminder.
election - yay x 3! howard's finally out.
Haha! That's so funny. I wonder who is most popular Liberal these days? And we have a new contender... Dr Brendan Nelson, I believe.
Also, b-ko was on the evening news. he was interviewed as he was lining up to vote at the OZ consulate. He just popped up on our TV screen and I thought, gee that guy looks familiar and I know that voice!
SL: If you added my commuting time, I'll be doing the same as you. That's why I'm so happy that I'm moving back to the island.
You can never have too much of Scrabulous, although now I'm enjoying the chatting more than playing the game itself.
So poetic that he lost his own seat. Makes me glow inside. Please God let Brendan Nelson have nothing to do with anything...
Good luck with the move - and get your braincap working, I'm making a Scrabulous comeback in our rematch mwoohoohahahaha.
