Is it insane to be getting up at 6.30am on a Saturday morning? That's what living on Lamma Island does to a person. Breakfast was penne in basil sauce cooked by resident chef The V. We were out the door by 8.30am on our way to the beach, which was a 20 minute walk. Can you believe it? I'm living in Hong Kong and the beach is a 20 minutes walk away!At that time of day, there is no one on the beach apart from the life guards. It was high tide and much time was spent taking photos of rocks, waves and sand. To get to the other side of the island was about a 1 hour 45 minutes walk along the west coast heading south to Sok Kwu Wan (the other pier).
Lo So Shing beach on the otherside was filled with plastic bags and rubbish. According to Lonely Planet, this is suppose to be one of the nicest beaches on Lamma. I don't think so. Cats and a really scrawny kitten The V named "Josephine". We also have a gecko living with us name Eugene. If the mosquito is still in the living room tonight it might get a name as well.

Okay, so that was written last week. Today it's miserable because of the typhoon and Eugene is nowhere to be seen. SL, here are pics of the flat you requested. I did have photos of the outside but I deleted them and there is too much rain to go out now.
