I taught my P1 (6 yo)student today. He didn't really grasp the concept of snap but he is really good with phonics and hand gestures. The hand gesture for 'u' is really quite gross. Imagine opening an imaginary umbrella if you will- "up and down, up and down". There you see!
T: What food do you like?
P1: Pillow.

P1: Pillow.
T: Pillow! Okay then! Moving on. What colour do you like?
I must be missing out on something that this little boy obviously has a taste for. Mine is a down pillow. It's excellent and a great investment. If you're sleeping on a flat pillow, replace it at once.
I printed the lyrics to "I'm a little teapot" and did refer to them. "Hands, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" - if it becomes an Olympic event I'm competing. Anyone know what else you do for "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" besides the twinkling and the diamond formation with your hands? I started pointing at the sky for what seemed like ages in between the phrases and thought something wasn't right. I've finally nailed the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" song. I'm singing that at karaoke next time I go.
