June 4th

Today I had the pleasure of exercising my freedoms under Article 27 of the Basic Law and it was exhilarating. I will never understand people who will live through life and not have participated in a demonstration about something they strongly believe in. It's a chance to exercise those rights that that we take for granted every day. Ask yourself, have you exercised your freedoms lately?

As I was walking I heard lots of different conversations. A father was testing whether his young son knew all the MTR stations he would be walking through - Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Admiralty and Central. There was talk between two women in the 40's about how Hong Kong was the only place in China where a demonstration like this would take place. Well, I'm not sure how much longer this is going to last but the outlook is quite pessimistic. Soon it will be: Who needs freedoms? The economy is great!

Try 150,000 plus. It was amazing. I got there late because I had to work and it was really really crowded but I managed to weed my way through. Photos and video will be on fb.
